NRHA Million Dollar Rider
Our training program is led by NRHA Million Dollar Rider Gennaro Lendi, whose expertise and international success speak for themselves. We specialize in starting young horses the right way, with a patient, consistent approach focused on preparing them for futurity, derby, or long-term careers in the reining pen.
Gennaro Lendi has been Champion and Reserve Champion in almost all international Major Events based in Europe, and has also won the most prestigious medals in FEI, personally and with Team Italy, on which stands out, in 2016, the individual gold in the World Championship.
At the end of 2021, after 28 years of reining, 17 in NRHA competitions of which 15 as a professional, net of more than 170 horses trained and exhibited, 130 “paid” big events and an incalculable number of kilometers traveled between the U.S., Italy, Germany, Austria, France, England, Switzerland, Poland and the Netherlands, Gennaro Lendi became the first Italian NRHA Million Dollar Rider in history to have earned the huge amount of money competing in the Old Continent.

Miriam Longobardi joined our team in 2024 as an Assistant Trainer, working under the supervision of Gennaro Lendi. Actively involved in all aspects of the training program, she contributes to daily horse training and show preparation.
With her hands-on approach, positive attitude, and strong work ethic, Miriam plays a key role in our operation. Her commitment to excellence helps maintain high standards of performance and horse welfare, supporting the continued success of our team.
Gianfranco La Marca Assistant Trainer
Gianfranco La Marca is a key member of our training team, specializing in starting and developing two-year-old horses. With a patient and methodical approach, he focuses on building strong foundations that prepare young horses for successful careers.
Gianfranco carefully guides each horse through the early stages of training, ensuring correct development, and confidence. His dedication play an important role in maintaining high standards of training and performance within our program.
Lucia Barbato
Ranch & Office Manager
Lucia joined Gordon Quarter Horses in 2023, bringing with her experience from her previous role as Office Manager for Gennaro Lendi in Italy. She expertly manages both the ranch and office operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
From coordinating daily activities and overseeing horse care logistics to handling client communications and administrative tasks, Lucia keeps the entire operation organized and efficient. Her keen eye for detail, proactive approach, and passion for excellence make her an essential part of the team.
Lucia’s dedication ensures that every aspect of the ranch reflects professionalism, organization, and the high standards that define Gordon Quarter Horses.
Kristina Bengyakova Breeding Manager
Kristina is our Breeding Manager, overseeing the breeding program and foaling operations. She works closely with our veterinarian to manage the health and reproduction of our mares, ensuring optimal care at every stage.
At Gordon Quarter Horses, we take great care in our breeding program, selecting top bloodlines to produce high-quality horses. Each year, our program welcomes over 20 foals, all carefully monitored and supported from birth. Kristina alongside Alan follow our young horses closely, providing attentive care and guidance to ensure proper development.
Her expertise, attention to detail, and dedication are essential in laying the foundation for the future success of our horses.
